hi dsk'ers long time watcher first time poster ,been involved with the manufacturing industry for many years and currently doing a run of safaris after being convinced by paul w on a 30 hour flight from france that we needed a manufacturer of qaulity vw parts here in N.S.W and more importantly a reliable supplier ,these are now in production and will be released shortly ,anyway im now a bus convert and will be getting one soon for weekend cruises ,will be good to meet some new friends and enjoy the vw scene thanks, andrew.

Hey Andrew,

There are a few splitty owners here on the Northern Beaches (even saw a new turkis dc on sunday cruising through Mona Vale).

Would love to catch up sometime and talk all things vw and more :D

thanks for the welcome will catch up with the northern beaches crowd soon and steve while we were extruding the alluminuim i got 100 side popouts made, at the moment these are bare frames with the latch bracket fitted,no hinges and no catch and will sell for $50 each or$ 75 with the 3 seals which will fit orig or mine, these will need to be painted as are extruded only pics will be available soon as i get everything finnished, as you know this is a big project, ,give me 6 weeks and everything will be finalised thanks andrew

How is/are the brackets been attached to the aluminium?

with the side popouts they are screwed on with small dome heads,safaris are small machine heads this could change as i only have the pair of prototypes as fitted to pauls bus ,full production will be finalised this week, catches are as per orig and should be interchangeable with orig.
