Hi all

Love the site many great VeeDubs

After ten years I managed to get my old splitty back ( yeah I know, why did you get rid of it?? Dunno) But it is home now and here to stay!!

Needs much work an love, which it will get. Lord knows she needs it as the previous owner did the Ol girl no favors, as you can see.

I hope to post more pics as the project starts & continues.

Not quite chasing the old bus around. Lucky for me and the splitty, I basically tripped over the bus in a scrap metal merchants waiting to be crushed (HELL NO). You will never believe this the scrap guy only wanted a $100 scrap value, well let me tell you I have never got my wallet out my pocked that quick before.
I supposed it was meant to be?.

No extra pics at the moment, I will get around to it
Lot of ideas though, I have bought this model on the dreaded ebay

I just love the colour and think that Black over Candy Red would look great
I have been toying with keeping it as is or adding the Samba windows, as for the engine do I keep it VW or something different only if it can be un bolted

In short who knows at the moment, I am very glad to have saved the old girl from the crusher.
