Hopefully, you will find everyone here to be helpful throughout the resto as thats what we are all about!
I wonder who will be man enough to apologise for the grief the previous owner got over this nice little machine?

Funny, but Frogsta had it right all along. And I think she's gonna be called The Chook Shed from now on.

great to see it was bought on the basis it was, and not as a 'westie'. It wasn't a westie and still aint. It turns out it's better than Andrew thought - so it's all good.

The point of DSK that all of us are better than any one of us. - or at least that's where it started ... and in this case thats what happened and its worked out.

You did well to get this old girl, i was the guy who the seller thought had bought it, such is life> I agree with you, i took teh time to go and see it when it was listed (i felt sorry for the guy selling it, he hadnt had a single other buyer and something like 180 comments from people telling him it was a hack job and a disgrace and bait advertising and a bunch of other rot) that floor was definitely original, this new information thats come to light seems to confirm that. Congrats on getting this information, previously i didnt know about this site and searched everywhere to find out more. Good luck with the resto, i do my own panel work also, and i really think this bus has great potential, youd want to be pretty bad not to make a good job of it, lol. all rarity aside i thought the body on her was really in pretty good shape, has great potential to be an awesome camper, if u do tho i dont want to know lol. I think if u can rebuild the shape from original plans you wont have any overheating issues, which is wat concerned me when i had no clue as to how all that side of things wouldve worked originally. Intersted to know if that floor was a false one, i felt that with teh floor as seen from underneath, there mayve been more height to gain. Once again, congratulations.
