Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!

you need to come to Narrooma, all will be revealed. Bottom line. Get something sooner than later, as prices continue to rise...yes it will have rust unless it's been end to end restored - but then the rust process begins again if you dont keep it in a humidi-crib...

Most can be fixed. You don't seem to be talking about basket cases, just something ratty. Don't worry about it too much.

If you dont fancy doing the work yerself, then you should talk to (in no political order) ... some of the DSKers in business that will help you (not fleece you).

Andrew Dodd Automotive, Kombi Rescue - featuring Old Man Tony on Bass - Indian Automotive in Sydney.

Best place to start ... go to a few shows and have a look and a chat with some fellow DSKers. Try the Euro Day in Newcastle in Feb.

interested in buying a T1 kombi splitscreen technical manual

Post by elvenmyst »

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much everyone for all the advice and links on getting hooked up with replacement panels. There's so much great stuff out there.

I've been asking around, and a friend has told me that there's a technical manual on all the parts and stuff in a vw T1 splitscreen kombi, which pretty much details everything that went into its manufacture, which would give me a good idea on how everything is supposed to look, even down to the size of the bolts they used in putting it all together, and if you were to modify it, the minimal safety requirements and such. He's more of a Toyota Corolla fan though, lol, so he only has manuals on ke70's. But hey, I thought I'd give it a shot and ask around if anyone would happen to know where I could buy this kind of manual? I think it'd be pretty helpful, especially since I'm not very mechanically minded -___-"

oh and did i mention I saw this beautiful blue splitscreen driving down the hume highway the other day!!! My eyes almost popped out of my head  lol it was soooo haaawwwt!!! ahah, hopefully, i'll be driving one of those babys one day  ahhh... well for now i can only dream.. ^_^"
