Hello!

Post by GottaSplit »

Hello everyone at DSK,
I am now glad to be apart of this forum to see what is happening around the traps all things early model VW bus.
I joined to look for a pre '64 model splitty (I prefer the small back window).
My name is Jamie and I live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
I have never owned a VW before but I am sure you will agree that it is never to late to start, although I have looked at Splittys for over 10 years.
I am reading the forums, learning what to look for in purchasing a bus in good condition.
Like I have said previous, I am after a Splitty with a small rear window (pre '64?), that is registered and in a condition that doesnt need to much work.
So hello everyone and I look forward to getting into this VW bus culture with like minded people such as you
Take care and safe motoring!
Jamie

Hey Jamie

Welcome to Dsk, your in good company here, a wealth of knowledge and good people to help you along the way.
I think small window buses finished in 62 so you may have to look even harder...I could be wrong though, someone will no doubt help.

Best

Ian

Thanks Ian,
The main thing I want in a kombi is a small back window (and 10 other windows!!)
I am patient and I am keen to chat to Steve Muller at Kombi Rescue and the guys down a Indian Automotive at a later date.
Just seeing what is out there at the moment.
The guys on this forum know there stuff so I feel I am in good company. :D

Hello and welcome mate.

I agree, love the small rears. Not just in kombis.

Good luck with your search.
