Syncro split?

I am enjoying dsk and am considering a split project.

However what I am proposing may not go down well with the purists and slammers found in this group

It would still look like a split. cool!
Would have to be a MASSIVE amount of work though.

I wouldn't think you would get any criticism of your efforts here. More like you will get compliments on the amount of effort you put in to swing it.
Here are a couple of prototypes for your perusal. The yellow on has nissan patrol running gear from memory. The blue one is anyone's guess.

yellow one looks like the forbes bus... + an extra few windows and popouts... noice..

thought of doing it, but trying to find a syncro bus that has good mechanicals and is cheap enough to cut up is hard.

making a non T3 Syncro into a Syncro would be hard enough...can't see it being possible. I do however a Keith Sume article years ago in which the factory did make a split awd prototype. Guess this would be a historical question for the archiver Muller. But I can't see it being possible.

Thanks for the photos.
I had thought of something a little less monster truck looking.
It will be difficult and expensive by the sounds of it.
Time to rethink the project.

You could paint a V_front on a Syncro! ha ha
Seems to be the go at the mo with Bay's..ha!

daveo, dont forget the stripe of masking tape up the centre of the centre of the windscreen to make a bay look more authentic

Theres a Factory built baywindow 4wd at the museum in Wolfsburg ....doid get some pics .of the undercarriage ....will dig em out
