He will find one for eventually for sure.
Need to ask the Perth crew about the ease and cheapness but seems to be some for sale over there from time to time for reasonable dollars or he can go bush and look.
I think alot of perth splits live over your way already, there must be some left I'm sure.
If you look you will find for reasonable price too.
But make him promise to be on DSK when he gets here.

Mate! - Cancel Migrating to Perth? NEVER!!

I've been here for 3 and a half years now after leaving the cold, dreary over-crowded piece-of-shit UK and I'm loving every second of it. Perth was 21degC today and not a cloud in sight. York where I'm from in the UK was 19, and it's their summer! Believe it or not they keep harping on about what a great summer it is too!
My house is like a bloody mansion compared to the UK, I have more big-boys-toys than I can shake a stick at and my well paid job is soo bloody easy. Why would anyone want to stay there?

Now my anti UK rant is over i can share that I too, am just beginning my search for a splittie. I have fond memories of a Splittie Kombi trip to Cornwall in my youth and visiting Bug Fest every year whilst being on the bones of my arse and perving at the oh-so-cool lowered pastel splitties that were super popular in the mid 80's.
Now I'm an old git but have some spare cash to play with I now NEED a splittie to make my life complete and make the most of the weekends cruising down the West Coast drive from Sorrento to Trigg for brekkie whilst trying to convince myself I've still got "it" (whatever "it" is). The only true cool air-cooled way to do this is in a splittie with the front windscreens fully open on a 40degC day! Hell yeah!
I have always hankered after a dual cab ute and have PM'd LoveBus about his in the Snowy Mountains. Has anyone moved a splittie interstate? Especially to WA, cos I know WA licensing can be a little 'difficult' at times.

I guess you guys are the best options to tell me if all splitties have the top hung opening front windscreens as well, my research starts here!
If they don't can they be converted?
Also I am seeking an Air-cooled specialist garage in WA to help in my planned resto. Any tips anyone?
Any splitties on offer in Perth right now?
Look forward to hearing from you all in time. Safe driving all.

Who cares if they are cheap or not mate, they will be cheaper than England and you wouldn't have to spend a year welding it up. I am still shocked that my bay from WA is 100 rust free. I for one love Australia and perth is a great place. just NIKE it. i do miss london honest ;-)

Been here (sydney) seventeen years...love it, miss the football, but apart from that there is nothing about the little rock I miss.
A word of warning tho..if you don't already know, the Aussies favourite sport is taking the piss out of the poms.
Come on give it your best shot....
