New to splits even though I have wanted one for ages. Question is do I go all the way on a 21 Window versus side windows a panel van or a ute. Ute would be so handy but more long term thinking.

The best long term Split to own is simply going to be the one that's suited to your needs more

That is up to you.
I think the best would be a Dual Cab but I own an 11 window so how knows.

I think the best bet is finding a bus that is in good solid condition that you can look after - Fish oil or penatrol the sills each year.
The style is up to you.

Had them all except a split dc, I have a new dc. Can't put the family in a sc, family can't see out of a panel van, so I ended back up with an 11 window and now a 21. Family = windows for the long run

Don't forget you can put pretty large roof-racks on if you need to cart stuff.

Wet Dog works better kept in a tray then a roof rack. Makes driving under low bridges too scary.
