Hello and Single Cab

Post by Laspaz »

Hello,

I am from NZ and about to start on a single cab project.

Thanks for letting me join your forum and for all the great info here.

Single cab is a '62 and looks to need the normal repairs:

Looks like a solid base. What do you know of its history?
No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you......

Apparently it was a Dunedin City Council vehicle initially, then it's had about 15 owner since then including key members of a couple of VW clubs around the place. It's been off the road for 23 years and passed around for a restoration which has not happened yet.

It does look fairly solid, it will be great to dive into it and see exactly what I am up for. I was told to buy the best I could afford, so sold my beetle and put it all into buying this project. Funds will be low and slow to get her back on the road now!
