I just purchased my first Split. It's a 1956 Kombi, it's in a pretty sad state to say the least, but I do think I could give it a new life.
Bringing it back to Brisbane where i intend to do the restoration, I met a DSK member in Coffs Harbour, after a small conversation with Paul I am even more enthused about starting it. Unfortunately my 71 KG cabriolet is being done first. so hopefully I will get to start on the 56 by this time next year.

I'd like to say to Paul a big thankyou for introducing me to DSK, and I will get some piccies on soon. I hope your trip north went well..
Regards
Ian

Thanks all for your well wishes, Zeuspig, I intend to do it original, maybe a slight change to the motor, but also a bit of a camper look inside, just so as we can go away for a weekend.
