Newb saying hi
Gday i joined some time ago and have been looking and reading most
of this great site just getting some info on these split busses as i have wanted one for some time. Its taken a while but good news is i have just purchased my first split still to be delivered in the near future its a 1958 kombi 11 window but no windows in side doors has two rear corner windows has traficators and little round red lights at back. This is a resto project.
Hope these pics work and thats not rust in the roof gutters
Thanks jamie

Good news is i now have the split at home safe and sound
in the shed Now just have to finish fixing the 1963 850 mini
then its go to start on the split. I must admit i have done a little
cleaning on the panel
Those coner windows are made of perspex but not in real good shape
so might have been a replacement of the origanals any thoughts.
splitty arrives
unloading
after clean
inside
the two toys

The blue on the front was a test spay for the mini they are almost the
same colour i sprayed some on the drivers door that then reveiled some
wrighting under the white paint so far can only make out the word MOONA that is a suburb of Hobart Tasmania. The splits original colour is pigeon blue and the mini is shadow blue.
