Will try that again after posting a whole new thread ............?????? .... I am sure Deuce had something to do with it! ..... ........

Welcome from another Sunshine Coast Crew member.

Nice looking panelvan ............... always look good the pvans.

Hope the engine rebuild is not too painful and costly so that you can get out and enjoy crusing the Sunshine Coast.

No doubt other members can recommend mechanics or you may already have your own in mind.

but ...........if you need a good mechanic on VW's, especially on a rebuild, I can recommend Mick up at Verrierdale (between Eumundi and Noosa) 0411 833 413. He works on our two kombis and two beetles.

Mick's business is Mick's Mobile Mechanics but he has a workshop on Verrierdale Road.

Hope to see you on a cruise soon.

Cheers
Brett

Mick is a good man and a bloody good mechanic.

We used to go to Wayne up at Buderim but the council built a new roundabout and he was forced to shut his doors in April when the landlord could not continue the lease to the old shed. He is now out of the scene after 20 something years........... real shame.

But we then found Mick through a recommendation from a friend at Coolum and have been happy with his work on our vehicles ever since.

There are others which some can tell you about but we are happy to cordinate our services with Mick even though we live in Caloundra. Very happy with the quality of work and the prices he charges us.

Hope this helps............

Cheers
Brett

I know that panel!
The previous owner used to live in the NSW Southern Highlands but moved north.
I presume you know it has Commodore stud pattern rims on it which when you look at the range of rims available isn't a bad thing.

Hey all thanks for the info

Yeah i can go all out on the wheels thanks to the stud pattern

I picked it up from Byron registered, brought it up to Sunny Coast, went to get a roadworthy for rego transfer and find out its got a buckled dogleg in chassis and won't pass rego. Its fixed now so its not that big a deal but was pissed off at the time cause it cost me an arm and a leg. Probably never find out how and when it picked up an injury like that not that it matters, but it does sound like theres some history surrounding the old girl.

Also to Brett (Brewmaster) thanks again for that number, gave him a call today, sounds like he's perfect for the job and he's only 10 mins away from where i've been keepin her

DZ, if you find any Split without a ding or dent here or there, be it minor or major, you've found the exception.
