I've had this at home for the last 18 months or so, thought it was about time that some work was done So, got talking to Panelbeater Sam who frequents our bar on a regular basis one thing led to another and he is now doing weekend work on our busses
Part of the purchase included a set of NOS gates, some repair metal, previous work by Indian had the front cab finished (floor, doglegs) but for some reason a donor roof was attached but with no gutters guessing the PO wanted some seamless thing

Nice early DC. Good to see someone else chopping the roof off. Its all the rage these days!
Do you have a donor DC roof, or are you just welding in repro gutters and putting the og roof back on? Looks like fun either way!

we have tried to source a donor roof but tis a bit difficult, there were a couple in the US but very hard to see whether they were kosher, so getting some repro gutters from autocraft and repro roof sections from klassicfab, end of the day cost is similar to remanufacture.
That really aint pretty.
Fair dinkum, what sort of tool goes for no gutters!
But good work so far.
Have you thought about getting a roof from a Bus and cutting and matching it?
