15W goes bang...
Driving down to Meningie with a bunch of dubbers when the thing started going ddddddrrrrrr. Sounds like a lifter or something sinister so called the RAA for a free tow home. Rolled it into the carport and will look at when I am in a better mood. Lucky we had the Type III on hand to carry on ...
I'm thinking that the 1200 is due for a replacement with a 1500 or 1600sp any way as 80kph was about its comfortable limit anyway.
And the other one is in the shed after RATeX as the case was leaking quite profusely by the end of the trip so I am splitless atm.
The good thing is it is making me question what I want to do with each of these as the both need some lovin'

Hi Morts
I know that bit of road very well, I used to live just out of Meningie - worked for a company that owned a farm there and one near Kingston.
I guess engine wise it all depends on $$ - it seems like speed is not really an issue for you and I think your busses still have the reduction boxes ?
If I hadn't just bought some bolt on bits for the 1500sp in Ruby I'd be tempted to offer it to you and build a 1776 as the gearing with the IRS stretches the 1500's abilities a little on hills!
Cheers

Thanks Cam - I am thinking of a well built 1500/1600sp as I may make this the bus we take away but in no rush so will just bide my time and see what comes up...Cam Arnott wrote:Hi Morts
