I’m running bilstein shocks from type 2 detectives all round. Bus is on flipped spindles only but it is pretty low. I’ll be making a lowered trailer to match

All the cabinets are make with walnut ply. Custom made with the help of a friend. Rusty Lee r n r bed from the uk. It has loads of storage areas plus the full length rack….then the trailer

Barndoor steering wheel and mirrors. Blaupunkt Bluetooth stereo with modern speaker mounted under dash

Refurbished trip speedo. Genuine vw spare fuel tank… more pics coming soon

This is the trailer I’ll be replicating. Sorry Matt, I’m lacking your skills so my mate will be welding the frame for me

Looks awesome mate, great progress. What is the transmission? I’m assuming straight axle? With a set of RGB’s the 36er will pull anything but I agree you will need an upgrade if it’s straight axle.

collecting the bus in the morning from Cooper with the new gearbox installed, brakes checked and wheels aligned. It will be so much more practical with a reverse gear....

Really looking forward to checking this bus out in the flesh, and the Jalousie windows look great.

I am a big fan of Baronia Brown on 50's buses. Just checking - did you paint yours Baronia Brown or Prairie Beige??
No matter what happens they can't take you out in the street and shoot you......

It's Prairie beige. But from my research they are pretty similar. BB is a bit darker. Had all sorts of problems with paint colours tbh as I used 2K inside and acrylic outside.
