Mate I wrote that FOR Cheesecake. Not even that wet blanket could bring me down at the moment, so stoked to have it running. Need to strip it down and paint the tinware and get this vintage speed exhaust to fit somehow.

So let me get this right…. I need to find another two years of material worthy of keeping you at the bottom of the bucket.

To be honest I’m done, nothing left in the tank. I bullied you with everything I had for five years to keep this project moving forward, and because of me look where you are today, a half painted bus and an engine that runs but you can’t utilise.

Got started on filler work last week. Only short days because I had a few things on but about 30 hours in the roof alone!

I've never used filler on a big panel before so started with the roof, I figure if I can get that straight the rest of the bus should be easy  .

I made a few mistakes, laid it on too thick initially so had a LOT of sanding to do. There were no dents, just lows and a few waves along the side where the roof was replaced.

Then a couple of coats of epoxy to seal up the filler and bare metal patches. Somehow i missed 3 small dings (I blocked it 3 times so no idea how?)
I'll fill them tomorrow then block it a couple more times and throw some high fill on. Does anyone know how long it's safe to leave high fill without sealing? Can't find a good answer online

Shoulders are spent and fingers are fucked, still have to sand out the high build but i figure that will be a bit easier. I just put waaaaay too much bog on to start.

Looking good Matt, its amazing how much time it takes! I can ask the guys at work about the high fill - what brand did you use?

It should be fine for a couple of weeks I would think...

No high build today. I blocked out the epoxy and broke through in a couple of spots so put another wet coat of epoxy in instead. I’ll block it with less grit next time.

The good news is, the roof is bloody straight. With the wet epoxy in the reflection was awesome, I’m officially confident I can pull this off.
