Nice Ute Red Bus, I checked out the Bendigo Ute, it was awesome, but thought it maybe a little beyond my knowledge & experience. Thought I would stick to the one Splitty until I had more practical experience to move on to another, my Splitty looks similiar to your red/white bus is that the 66?.. Looks awesome mate, can't waite to see more piks as you go along. They all look like sweet rides

havent posted in ages but ive been busy most the welding done. and i spent 2 weeks getting the interior ready for painting. hopefully paint it on the weekend.pics then. so then i can put it back together and dad can drive me around in it for a while. then i get the outside ready for paint. plus i may be picking up a new project soon (split dc)

painted the interior the original colour "polar white" on the weekend just have the clear to go. not bad for my first time.

trying to get it back on the road for summer so i had a busy weekend painted the top polar white and the bottom matt black for now, then after summer i might go gloss black

Hey Cooper, great work mate! The Polar White looks good - personally I would have left the whole bus Polar White and not the matt black, but hey, it's your Kombi and you get to paint it how you want.... I think the gloss black will look better, though.
So is it 7 months 'til you get your P's or your L's?? Bet you can't wait - very cool first car to drive!!!

My Dad's Kombi circa 1967 at Taronga Zoo. I'm the light weight with the skinny legs, my older brother is doing the roof jump!

thanks i thought of painting it all white but i think it will look better with gloss black, the bottom still needs a bit of work to get it straight. but its heaps better than it was. it 7 months till i get my L's.

its back on the road
i painted all the doors, put in most of the windows including SAFARIS and lots of other stuff. dad and i took it for a spin but he says its hard to find gears and theres lots of other small things i need to fix.
