The door is coming back together nicely. I have spent around 20 hours to get this far but to see the door swinging as it should has been worth it.
Still some rust in a couple of minor spots on the door.
Thanks to DAs Resto Haus for the new stainless mirror arms and hinge pins.
I still have a few hours left to finish it up then its off to get sand blasted.
Heres a few pics in the meantime, bloody mobile phone photos again...i spent my money at Das resto this week, i think it was justified.LOL new camera next week!

for sure, it probably doesnt help that im a bit of a compulsive obsessive....but its worthwhile once the beer comes out at the end of the day!Dasdubber wrote:Hey Linc, good to see you getting stuck back into the repairs now the hinges are finally done. It's easy to see how you can sink 20 hours into one area of one door...you can see why repair bills can blow out when you have to charge an hourly rate!

heres a few pics where im up to.
Drivers door has been blasted and metal work of the door is complete ready for body work.
Stripped all running gear, steering etc off the body.
Built new trolley for the body. I will start doing the strip down of doors and various peices now to get the body ready to go to the blasters.
