So they are, good spotting. They still do the trick.
As for the Old Bar I am trying. All depends how often I can get up there to do the work.
My next step is to buy the rear corner lower panels and cut them out.
I need a 2 lt Gearbox if anyone has one? And the drivers side door top??

I was but spoke with Schurmans and he has said the 2lt box is the strongest box to use.
I have found a couple of single plate boxes but will get a 2lt one if I can find one.

That is true but you can get an L-bug box built to handle the grunt and it is MUCH easier to fit in a Split.

Went out and spent a few hours on the bus. Repaired the under tray.
Bent up a piece of metal to suit.
IN she goes. JUst need to clean the whole thing up and give a quick coat of paint. Dull paint...

Holes coming through fron the drivers guard.
So have done the same, started to make up a panel to cut and weld into place.
Cut shaped and welded in.

Bit more work on the jacking point area. Cleaned it all up and chucked in a heap of fish oil.
And that was it for the afternoon. Have sometime to spare next week a couple of days the week after so will be getting stcuk into it.

The whole damn CAR is amazing.
If nothing else it proves what can be saved.
BTW, ZP, did you chat with Pete about the tranny?
Make any decisions on that?

I will be going for a single plate bettle box.
I still need a drivers door top too and much much more...

Cheers for that, I did see that one. Looks a little too perfect for my bus.
I have sent PM if he still has it and if it will fit a 58?
