If you stuck with the beetle rims, perhaps seeing them in all white (beige grey) with a red pinstripe around the outside edge close to the whitewall might look a little different? Just my 2c though, looks sweet as is of course.
Al
Thats it !
Little less busy and lets the brilliant body work take centre stage...
OR
Chromed Fuchs...? Not standard I know but definately from the similar marque..
The first stone chip gonna hurt though, when the paint looks this good..
Hope you enjoy this bus...

Yes boys - what to do with the rims. i have struggled from the start on the rims.
Al - have thought of the thin red line - might give it a whirl.
Tony - also have a set of the 356 style chrome wide 5 rims. I think these would alos look good with the whitewalls ??
Steve is going over the red today on one of the rims in a flat/matt blue grey, so will wait and see how that turns out.

Mick, how about the first set of these in Australia:-
Steel/chromw repro sprintstars from Bob van heyst at BBTvw in Belguim but available in US/UK. He has them in 5.5' and 4.5'
I'll be putting a set on my samba when it gets to Ireland!
Cheers
Steve

Very nice Steve. Have considered the sprinstars, so could be an option as well.
PS. What did you do with the early cab ? has it left our shores yet ?

Looks amazing Mick. I prefer the steel rims to aftermarket rims. Maybe paint them all white with a chrome dress ring to set it off.

Yeah you do Mike..
Still not happy with the wheels, so I have an old set of the chrome 356 style rims on there way to Steves. I think this will look good.
Thanks for the pics Wal.
