Lots done lately, bus is now welded  . I'm going back over previous work to tidy up welds etc, and still have the inside and engine bay to strip and prime but for now the bus is waiting a few months while house renovations start .
Colour has been 100% decided. Sea Blue/Cumulus white as per the M code.

I'm after a clean factory look with some trick billet inside stuff, wheels will be fully polished with a medium to low ride height. Roof racks sold, side steps going and pretty much nothing except headlight grilles will remain. Tach and gauges are gone, I'll fit up some retro gauges somewhere subtle later on.

This week marks a year since the second part of the welding started , time sure fly's It's a huge job to keep motivated! .

Yeah cheers mate, it's been a big push to get it done solo, I'm looking forward to the next stage of the build. It's a great feeling to have a solid rust free bus.

It been a while, I don’t like to count months anymore . Lately I’ve stripped all the wiring, oil cooling system , fuel tank and a,l the loose shit in the engine bay. Next job is to re-protect the underside.
I’m not painting grey or body colour underneath, I have no interest in getting fancy , just want it to last under there.
What’s a good product to use , ill be finishing in a matte black ideally .
I’m after high quality, don’t mind paying for good stuff. Cheers

Try Wurth SKS or Upol Gravitex. Both are stone chip / deadener material and easy to apply with a cheap schutz gun. Actually the Wurth stuff might need a specific applicator gun, I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks Bro , I’ll look into a local supplier, I’m pretty sure you can easily paint over it too.
I’ll be happy to get it done, Visual progress is what I need at the moment .

Yeah you can paint over it, no worries.

I think it comes in white, grey or black. At least the Upol does which is what I used on my old project bus.

I just called my local paint shop , the grey looks good, I think it will suit my Sea Blue/white combo well. Thanks mate

Back into the Bus for 2018, pretty much lost interest in it all over the past few years, I haven't got much choice as I have too much $$ invested so It's on and up. Hopefully Once I get some decent visual progress the vibe will come back.

Front end out and wire wheeling the underbody and then Upol deaden it all.

Im planning to do this to my bus too, new engine is getting closer. That will give me the motivation I need. Also have a bay tank to install....
