Great photo Leroy. Don't you get sick of the paparazi following you around? I do.

How about a run down on the mechanical specs? Also, is your bus lowered on beam adjusters?

Cheers, Ben

Mechanical scecs are as per factory for now. Motor was rebuilt before I bought it, so It was given a tidy up. Plans for a 1500 beetle box and a straight axel conversion. The beam centre has been drilled and turned, and the rear spring plates down a spline. Good result for little $ spent for now. Eventually I would like to build a narrowed beam with adjusters.

Here is a pic of the motor before it went back in 8)

Ok time for an update on this one. I had been toying with the idea of straight axel for a while, when a 68 Beetle came up at a bargain price.
I had already purchaced a 4.5" narrowed beam with adjusters.
So it was time to take it to slam town 8)

I chased up a set of early type 3 drums and backing plates for the rear.
And purchased the straight axel kit and fliped spindles from Bernie at Munster Gararge.

Big thanks to Al at Das Resto Haus for his help with the assembly 8)

Heres some pics for you...........

oh my . that is special 8) Panels are so cool (until you have to reverse out of an angle parking spot!) and this is one of the top ones. Well done.
Imagine what you would do if you knew you couldn't fail.
