Leroy has a point.
That does look pretty damn sexy.
Practically every other suitcase motor I've ever since was filthy as.
Cheers & God Bless

mirror brackets

Post by GFresh »

Last Saturday made some mirror brackets to sit off the doors window frames, went for a design that was simple and once mounted appears to be just sitting there.

just need some p clamps and bolt the mirrors on to them now

Thanks Tonz, loved your SC BTW those wheels look SWEET as :P , great to catch up on Sunday too, don't think I would have made it to the show this year if all you DSKers weren't driving me along.

I'm loven this Forum, good stuff guys....."Tipping Hat" <- Now that would be a good emoticon right there

As I would like to try and keep the chassis on this one original, i thought i may fit a steering system like the one in Dions' and Sharks' white over blue rig have fitted, does the chassis need mods for these?, haven't looked into it yet, Dion? Shark?

When the time comes to off load this one Tonz I would like to bring it back to an original as I have the original donk, also the next Rat I pick up I can bolt all my gear in straight away to get it mobile :D

Sounds like a good plan George.....

Tombi (aka Tom) has a Creative Engineering rack and pinion in his Klunker bus and it works a treat...Drop him a PM..Pretty sure he wouldnt mind you checking it out...Also a good time to buy one ,while the Aus dollar is so strong against the Pommie Pound.... :D

Would make a very nice xmas presnt from Santa...

creative rack, is drill 5 8mm bolt holes an cut a little out of the floor for the steering shaft.

The cut out can be replaced with another section later if need be.
but super straight forward and easy for a guy with ur talents mate

mirror brackets finished

Post by GFresh »

Finished off my mirror brackets today

decided to scrap the idea of using P clamps to hold ot the mirrors, that just seemed way to easy, I think the extra effort has made these brackets completly unique.

I just had to get an Iron Cross in there somewhere.
