so flamed , did the fellas at conti engines find any new pistons, valves, heads etc... when they re-built it for you, or was the guy that sold it to you straight out lying.

Nothing but a worn out 1600 tided up on the outside with a looming worn out valve with not many k's left in it, lying prick. But now she's a 1916cc ,mild cam, fully balanced, 36 Dellorto carbs, stock heads, heavy duty oil pump with external filter and cooler. Hopefully a reliable fun cruiser.

That 1916cc will be perfect, mate.
It'll cruise very happily on the freeway and give some modern cars a surprise or 2. ;)

Looking gr8! you will forget the troubles you have had once you have it on the road i'm sure........
So where did you finish up getting motor from and was the price right, i will be looking for a motor of this size soon for a project here and need to find someone who is producing good engines.
