So I had a thought as I woke this morning.
There is a groove between the coupling that I could use.
Something along the lines of this

- Tried levering it and hammering it but it didn't budge, the steel was to soft, I was on the right track just needed a better, stronger tool

Seriously, you have accomplished one of the tough bus jobs, without taking the easy way out! The next is probably fixing a bonked/rusty nose. After this, it's going to be a piece of cake for ya!!
Next trick I wanna see is you get the drag link off without bending that little bit of tin it's surrounded by

Finally worked out the clutch cable.
I had to loosen it from the gearbox, it then had no tension and popped right out.

go you crazy thing! reminds me of how we used to get a rusty split on a sat morn and by sunday night have all the bits in boxes , body completly stripped and ready to dump! those were crazy times long ago, now i'm busting my ring to save every square inch of them...rust and all!good work joe your learning fast, take pics as you go for reference on reassembly....are we having fun yet?
