Nice one. Did you mix the pain differently this time Wiz?

Re: The other 61 Ute
Do you mean other than the Wiz’s patented “if in doubt, thin it out” method of paint mixing?

Re: The other 61 Ute
Beatts, my chat with your painter has helped me immensely, also the paint is $100 a litre.
As for Matt, he bought a $38 spray gun off EBay, I had to thin the shit out of it to come out of the gun
So to sum it all up, You get what you pay for

That's great. I thought the paint coverage looked thinner in the photos.
We're currently messing around with what percentage of matting agent to use so it has a finish similar to acrylic. Looking for old shiny not new shiny.

Gearbox in today, picture reminds me to order a new throw out bearing
I square up the trans to the body, it makes the tinware fit nicely, there’s enough movement in the bottom mount bolts to get it right

It’s the small things that make the big things work. Nice trick.
Also I don’t want to seem obsessed but that paint job does look good Wiz.

Yeah great idea. Never realised that could be tweaked. Not changing it though until next time…. Hopefully a few years

So I’m not a fan of adjusters, I think they are too close to the tyre sidewall with a decent size tyre on, but you need to be able to drop the spring plates to get the tyres off, so I use 3 bolts instead of the Adjuster, a lot more work to get the spring plates in the right spot tho

Bit more work on this, just making sure everything fits before tearing it apart to paint

Re: The other 61 Ute
I need to finish this so I think I’ll complete this first, Dual Cab will have to wait
I also have a few paying jobs for the next 6 months
