O so we are going to start on the panels now are we.....brave man you are. Funny thing is I remember us having to shoo you and that DC off at the nationals 2 years ago when we were doing the 67 panel line up

Did an up-date on the i-phone and the camera seems to produce a better pic now...May not need to buy a pocket camera after all... :D

Finished off the rear corners of the lid this week-end.....

Will use a thin grinder blade to cut slots along the rear gutter to let the water out....

Had the master give it the thumbs up yesterday....

Offered him a go on the mig..but he declined..mentioned something about having his good clothes on...pfft



Thinking about using a body mold (ala Type3 sill ) down the length of the centre of the lid to conceal the join and one either side of it..all painted body colour...Similar to the luggage rails on a 70's station wagon..or

maybe 10 or so , timber slats spaced across the width of the lid..something like the type used on a roof rack.. :roll:

Tony the wooden slats would be very noice! Use teak and leave it unfinished and it will grey to a nice patina and not rot. Mitchell

The boaty's put sea water on there teak decks. If makes it grey.
