Re: 57 Resto
There are a TON of white/blue busses out there just as there are lots of white/red busses about. Hop onto one of the paint colour threads here and look at the different VW factory colours. There are some great colours that you could use instead.

Re: 57 Resto
Two of my buses, not exact colour matches but may help a little57Bus wrote:Hey Danny
The planishing starts on Monday but we will also need to pre mount all of the pop outs, rear safari and waste line trim. I can't see that taking more than 1 1/2 weeks, then we need to skim coat and rub back. I have given up putting timelines on jobs as every time I think we are close more 'stuff' pops up.
Next big question is colour? White top and light coffee bottom or off white top and baby blue bottom. At this point I have no idea which way to go?
Cheers

I'm buggered if I can find those Aussie paint colour sample threads on here.
Can someone who knows where they are post a link for 57Bus to check out?

Re: 57 Resto
Thanks for the links,
I like the cream white as pictured below. This bus was at the recent Dubs at the Abby show in Qld. It's owned by Kombi Celebrations. I emailed them for the colour but they never got back to me. To make things more confusing they have two cream buses on their website, 'Lola' which is cream (they have the colour of that Bus on their website) and the one pictured below which is more of a coffee colour.
The wife likes the baby blue / white look, like the 58 Al did a few years back. Let the battle begin!
