Cheers Guys
Tonz the only reason I was game enough to have a crack myself was because of the photos others had posted of their projects which have been a huge help so this is payback!

Re: Darwin '67 11 Window Resto Project
A little more progress but nothing too visually appealing!
I can say the Gerson floors are bloody nice and thick and I cooked one drill bit getting all my holes drilled.
I was starting to get a little bit of flash rust as these are not primed like their other stuff so I spent a couple of hours scuffing them up with the wire wheel on the angle grinder and treated them to some Picklex which will buy me some time before they are in and primed.
I've now finally got a C pillar to go in and am trying to work out the sill installation. I know how the outer sill and the strengthener go together and then how they interact with the B and C pillars but I can't figure out how the hell you can get the assembled inner and outer into correct position if both pillars are welded into position already?
Are the middle tabs on the strengthener needing trimming or do I need to weld the C pillar to the sill unit and then weld it in?

Re: Darwin '67 11 Window Resto Project
I missed a couple of weekends with Bathurst and a trip to Adelaide but here's the latest......
Bulkhead Panel - Hours of fun stripping this back - should have taken it to get soda blasted and saved myself about 5 hours work Fiddley bastard!
Lots of dings to tap out with the hammer & dolly and I suspect there might be some filler to go back in before paint!
The botom section was pretty knacked but thankfully I'd kept what I had pulled out of the bus and re-used the middle section with the cut outs. Also welded in the two end sections and gave it a coat of picklex to stop it from rusting and buy some time before I have to prime it.

Before I can weld in the bulkhead there is the matter of the B-pillars to sort out, behind where the dogleg sits. As you can see the passenger side was pretty tragic.
I'd not been looking forward to trying to fabricate these bits but I reckon it turned out ok........
You can see the trusty bit of I-Beam in the background of one of the photos - very handy for forming sheet metal!
Oh and note that the seat base is not attached to the B-pillar and is hanging down a bit - its all in the right place, at least it will be if my measurements are ok!

Re: Darwin '67 11 Window Resto Project
So I'd set myself a goal to get the bulkhead, cargo sill and floor in before Christmas.
Just scraped in! Almost looks like a bus worth working on now
Amazing how you plug away for ever without much changing and then hey presto!
Merry Christmas you lot

Hey Cam, nice work all round m8.. I thought I had a bit on my plate..
You've been commenting on my build and I only just looked too see what you had going on... how rude... I too will be watching with interest as you seem to be a few steps ahead of me.
