Re: 57 11 Window - Penny
Cab floor, Nose and valance all removed ready for new metals to go in along with replacing lower sections of A Pillars hopefully next week?!
Nose removed so that it can be sent back down here to SA for Coop to work his magic on using it for another bus…looking forward to seeing this live on! Almost want to keep it now that it’s off the bus and hang it in my shed!

Short side top section was really munted so a donor panel was sourced, bottom half of wheel tub replaced and passenger side corner unstitched to start working on rear end!

Re: 57 11 Window - Penny
Pretty pumped to be getting this bus back into my own garage - have hired a fully enclosed car trailer and will be driving over to pick her up the week after Easter!! Metalworks won't be 100% complete by Dubsmith but should be pretty close and should be able to take care of the rest back here.
If anyone has anything they have been sitting on and need transported across to anywhere between Adelaide and Newcastle let me know as it will basically be an empty trailer on the way there!!! Might even have a bit of extra room on the way back for smaller items too...

Left Newcastle yesterday about 4pm and was unloading her into my shed here by 9am this morning! Haven’t slept but I’m pumped seeing her back home again!
Stoked to be able to get into it myself finally! Dubsmith smashed out a heap of work in the last couple of weeks so nowhere near as much left to do as I thought there would be…can’t wait!

Sanded and etch primed the roof and started grinding back a bunch of welds over the last couple of weeks.

Went for a drive today and picked up a rear seat…very good condition and a very close match to the new material selection I’m going with! If anyone wants the existing covers let me know as I’ll be removing them as carefully as I can to keep them intact.

Re: 57 11 Window - Penny
Spent the day yesterday finishing off the second rotisserie setup I’ve made (with the help of a good mate and his pipe bending/welding skills) after the first one I sent her away with went ‘missing’!?
Anyway like most things second time around this one is a lot stronger and sits much nicer - have bolted it on so it sits fairly low (approx 1800mm from floor to roof)
Off to bunnings today for some wheels and then she’s ready for her next adventure to Anthony Badams place next week for him to continue working on her for me!
