been slogging away trying to get another dskers bus ready for Valla so been unable to get much done on mine, only had saturdays clear and keep getting hungover

still, got onto it for a couple of hours today and got the gearbox mount changed for a beetle one and started fitting up new tubes for handbrakes and other cables, then got sidetracked and started playing with paint... thinking blue underneath, just need to get a closer match for the dove blue...

great progress!

Can I ask, where did you source your tubes. Mine are all messed up by a fork lift.

Cheers

Got them from my local sheet metal guy- tried elsewhere to find them with no luck- took in samples of original ones - all he could get - stainless

Thanks klaus- will try that, see how it matches- at least there isn't much blue up top so should get away with slight variation!

And thanks Don! Will be in touch

Thanks to don we got the 57 on the road and rego'd after valla and thanks to Marty and Dave i got the patch of floor under the bench seat fitted up and fixed- bit of a cop out but used only half of it and joined it under the tool chest vertical so you cant see the join from up top (pretty good match too)

cab floor in then and cargo going in at the moment - slowly!!! edging closer to the finish line with the steelwork - hopefully get some more done this week 8)
