I managed to get wet exhaust fuel hose from Powell industrial. And today I got a new mechanical fuel pump from Mick's to suit the alternator and new fuel lines. Much better unit.

Electrics done today except a dicky circuit.
First test drive today. Idle set a bit high for now but great to be back. Drove beautifully.

Yep. 500 km under the belt. Few bugs to work through and part added as they become required. Still leaks a fair bit in the cab but that is due to only the rubbers that hold by friction being in place.

By the way I have some cabin lights. Pretty exciting as I never has a light in my speedo before.
Very happy with the Speedhut GPS speedo. Shame I cannot do justice to the 1/4 mile time function.

The weekend saw some sound deadening material go down on the floors of the bus. In my case it was sheet format of wavebar 4kg/m2 mass loaded vinyl. It is seriously heavy gear and I am glas to not have to move the roll around anymore.
I started with some Ankor Wax for the floors.
I am pretty confused about this product. Brad from BusnBug advertises it as a clear wax and even shown the same tin as I got in photos. But I bought it from Just Kampers because I needed some other gear too and it is Brown!!
I checked the MSDS on the Morris Website and it is meant to be. So not sure what Brad sells as they don't seem to have another type.
But I would certainly not be using it on the outside / any seen areas of my vehicles.

Anyway. Stripped all the interior out.
The front got a coat any then was wiped clean before it dried. So hopefully it will leave a bit on there and some in the seams.
The rear floor got a heavy coat.
The rear are got a coat through the seems before a wipe down.



This photo is pre ankor wax. The floor looks like it has been under a river now with a mud wash look.
It seems to be a good product but it does not flow like they say. To the point where it was really thick next to a baby anchor point that I took off after and it did not flow under the ankor despite 4mm of clear space.
If you want a good rust proofing maybe stick to Penatrol. It is cheaper too.

Next was wavebar.

The front floor mat got one layer underneath.


And the back area got 2 layers front cab floor right up to the parcel tray.



The noise reduction is certainly noticeable. I have no way of measuring but it leaves the engine noise at the same volume but takes the harshness out of it which I think will leave occupants far more refreshed after a longer drive then previous.

And once I can get hold of one the cab floor with get one of the rubber mats too and the parcel tray has the bed mattress.
Now I need to price up some Dynamat or similar for the walls.

So this one falls under the category of an extravagance.
I have just upgraded to Dual 40mm Kads and a new braided throttle cable. I decided to pull out my perfectly good throttle assembly and install a new Butty Bits made (bought through Redwolf Accessories) and am very glad I did.
The kit cost me $160 plus postage.

And as I say, I did not need to do it but the firmness of the throttle now is certainly worth while. Really nice smooth, solid feel underfoot now.
Also I have found that I am getting a tiny bit more throttle out of it too. My engine revs to about 4500, but went to 5000 last night. That may have been mixtures, or maybe throttle. Not sure but happy with the upgrade.

It does not show well but where the spring goes to is a little stainless plat that comes with the kit and steel cable ties to the Chassis.
I have seen people put it on the back face of the RHS hanging down.
Where I have mine the spring connects to the plate at the front of the RHS and is more then enough.
My Kads have an extra spring that goes onto the alternator and with the spring to here the pedal have a very definitive return to home feel.
Which is nice as my old cable slipped on the weekend and I was having issue and I managed to roadside fix me a cruise control. Great at 60km but not the best when in a carpark.
