The wagon is spot on. New bonnet, gaurd etc etc Its actually a little better than it was........just. Though I would have preferred to not have gone through the pain !!! For your sake I hope the notch is rubbish you dont need more distractions 3/4 through the ute project !!!

Like I said cant wait to see the ute rolling It will look fantasic the reaction you will get from people as you cruise past will be priceless.

More pics needed !!!!
Cheers

Sounds good, show us how its done...I know what the legs hanging out is like, although a drawer would make sleeping in there harder...

Have you got a cad drawing of a split? Single cab would be good, what program are you using?

i had a similar idea for a drawer but without modifying anything, more like a sliding tray inside the compartment...look forward to seeing more!

Sliding Treasure Chest drawer

Post by dingo »

Hi Euro,
I am also considering the pull out Treasure Chest Drawer with Solenoid locking it in the closed position. Priced up some HD telescopic rails (1524mm stroke) at $1000 a set of 2, plus solenoid actuators and compartment box with Treasure chest lid fitted. Will handle a point load of 136 Kg at 457mm extension for normal durability ie 10000 cycles. Should get away with the cost at under $3000 if I fit it myself. If you need more tech info PM me. Exxy but a cool concept and better than crawling around looking for sh#t in dark though.

Cheers

Squat, place chin on chest, tuck head and tip forward, shoulders connect with ground and back follows through, legs go over the top and feet land on the ground. That's how I roll!

Andrew - go check out camper trailer manufacturers/suppliers. They have all sorts of slide out things, kitchens, drawers etc.

Cheers
