A few update pics. Al has the timber slats all stained to match the steering wheel, and then covered in a clear. Needless to say it looks awesome. Motor is also nearing completion, kept with the matt black to match other parts of the car, so hopefully not too far off now before i get it on the road.

Steve Muller could probably shed some light on the timber species as he supplied the slats in raw uncut (but profiled) form.spl65t wrote:Looks great Hoves, what species of timber is it on the tray ? Any specs info on engine ?
Engine is 2110cc, I don't know a lot about what's inside but have dressed up the exterior. Heads are VW and looks like some very minor port work (nothing too extreme).

Not too sure about this beaut ute being a work horse...tinman wrote:Was reading this thread last night, top SC. Well done on the resto.
Not many people would have undertaken such a resto on an already good looking SC. Congrates on a great looking work horse. I enjoyed reading the thread.
More likely a lady of leisure...( a particularly attractive one who doesnt have to do much but make you feel good when you ride her..)
No sexism intended....
Wanted..Barny bits or 60's Supercharger other than Judson
