Finally got the 15 out of customs and started tidying it up a bit.

Had a tyre off the rim when I picked it up and a dent in the hub cap so looked like it had been hit with something but no other damage was found.

After a couple of weekends its now ready for a road worthy. Here are a few pics of how it is now. Would like to keep the OG paint so think I will get some anchor wax for it.

Needs a head liner fitted. If anyone can recommend someone let me know
Its had a straight axle conversion but is sitting a bit high at the moment and also has and a beam adjuster on the front. I n a few weeks it will be a bit lower with maybe a set of radars.
Fitted some flooring and started making the interior.

Would like to have it on the road for the show in March but not sure how it will take to register it
first pic is how it was and the restare after a bit of work

You still have some tax left on your tax disc from Blighty!

Happy to have another 15 here in Australia.

Cheers

I have been spending the last couple of weekends on the 15. I only have a carport to work on it but decided to take the plunge and tidy it up. In between storms and hailstones i managed to get it painted. i was going to try to match the original paint but it just had too many scrapes. Still need to fit safaris, paint the front door windows and refit the deluxe trim. Still need to flat and polish it. Here is a few pictures of how it is now

Nice work.
I really need to try spraying myself some time......after I learn to build an engine and learn to weld and, well, learn everything else. :|
