re: 1967 Splitty (11 window)

Post by crave »

Guess what !! After a long 2yr search I finally got myself a splitty.
It's a 1967 (not a 1962 as first thought, 11 window splitscreen. It starts its long journey tomorrow on the back of a truck. I sold my 1966 Beetle and one of Bays to fund the project. Nothing beats the splitty. Can't wait to get my hands on it and restore to it's former glory.

Thanks guys, don't know if this helps.

the number on the chassis reads:

yeh, spoke to the towie that picked it up from the property for me and said the panels looked pretty straight. Fingers crossed it makes it to me in one piece without any missing panels or parts !!! Once I work out how to reduce the size of the photos I'll post some more pics.

So do we all agree it's a 67 ??
