Well the rumers are true Al and I are starting on a new project
It will take a while but meet
Isurus
Question - What the hell does that mean
Yep it's another name like Longimanus
this time it is the latin for Mako Shark, which is also known as The Blue Pointer (a chick on the beach when she is cold
as opposed to White Pointer
) sorry girls
There is me being politically correct again
The Mako is a dark blue in colour and is the fastest shark in the ocean. No prizes for guessing she will end up Blue, not Red sorry guys. She is also going to be dam fast if I get my way, so enjoy the build. I know I will
I have a number more photo's to post when I get time but I only just got home so stay tuned.
Dave thanks for the hospitality and she is in good hands so don't worry I will be gentle
By the way guys YES they are bullet holes in the front and there are a few on the side also. I think I have to keep them

Sweet mate, And it won't matter what colour it is , it's yours .. All the way with the bullet holes . Maybe after you paint it and the holes are still there , they could be filled with a really good clear fill resin that wouldn't react with the paint ..
Seen the same type of application on wood work projects . There were feature holes in the wood , they were filled with clear resin, and opals were set into the resin .. They were plenty visable and looked the goods .. Anyway thats wood and not a car , and i'm sure you have plenty of your own idea's.. Have fun

Good idea about the clear resin will look into that one
Thanks guys I am excited as a pig in shit on this
Matt sorry Blue is my colour but it will be good mate trust me
Hoves you will just have to wait Bro but I plan to send it down the track a few times. It needs to be practical though as I want to use it for work also. so it won't be too over the top.

Although we could install something akin to my 2.4L turbo injected drag engine being built currently....
....300+hp at the rear wheels may be a little too much for the old single cab, so we may go for something similar to this (in mockup stage at the moment).
Time will tell.....

The sky is the limit Al my friend one thing for sure is I have a excuse to hang around Burleigh Point stealing waves from locals that can't surf whilst giving locals respect to those who can surf & just plain dodging the bloody long boarders that can't turn
Dam I guess I have better do another TV doco to pay for this thing
more traveling and frequent flyer points

Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln, Lincoln....
If you are going to paint it lose the bullet holes - if not keep 'em.
Look forward to seeing your unique style on this. Good score.

Hey Kombi Trip I spend about 3 months a year in Lincoln on and off. Love the place good surf too but I have already had 1 surfboard bitten out there ha ha PS check out the thread idea in trips I am about to put up.
PPS the best think about Lincoln is the Crays, Tuna , King George whiting and to top it all off the best Oysters in the world just down the road at Coffin Bay
