If it is the double door I thought very hard about buying it off thesamba.
If its not that one, cool bus anyway - any trouble landing it with the "modified suspension" etc?

All the best

Was that the one for sale in Hawaii? Looked nice and a good price too. Did it have to go back to LA to be shipped here? Looked at buying a bus from Hawaii once but the shipping was crazy!

Cheers

It is a double door.
it is the one from hawaii, yep had to go via LA, all in all only added an extra Grand onto the final price.
No Troubles at all with the suspension.
plenty of early stangs over the last few years, and finally finished my true love 65 xp falcon coupe with 289 windsor, full ground up bare metal rebuild (6 years)

Cool - thought it could be a good proposition for a RHD country in case anyone wanted to convert it some day. I remember the ad saying something about a bit of damage front and rear - hopefully not too bad.

So whats the plans - enjoy it as is or make some changes?

Would love to see some photos of the XP if you have any. :)
Cheers

cool cars are cool cars. Its good that finally VWs are being appreciated and embraced by drivers of water cooled ,rice burners, chock cookers,v8s and hog riders despite the lawn mower motor in the back. Ive been into buses @ bugs for a couple of decades or more and it wasnt always the way. Me i love all cars accept geminis (youve gotta draw the line somewhere)
