Hey Guys.
I had posted some photo's of my van earlier on when I joined but thought I would get a topic going to continue with the build. Close as now to getting sprayed. Its taken a while though gonna be worth the wait. Should be in colour next week. (hopefully).
Big Thanks to those who replied about the 36HP i enquired about aswell. Had some great replies and everyone more than willing to help out.
The plan is to have the van the same as it was rolling of the factory floor.
Having troubles with paint matching though. I'll post that later.

I know. There not there. On the birth certificate it was originally sent to Fiji. From what I know it left germany with no blinkers at all.

Looking good mate. Nice and straight. With all those doors, who needs windows..... What colour are you thinking? Something resembling the original hue?

dont wana get to carryed away not to much of a big deal but
i date is as may 57 of that vin
but the low hinge started 62.and so did the rear wheel arch lip(that you dont have)
the seat brackets would be single hole for pre 60 (61 and untill they went combo seat in 62 was the adjustable bracket like yours)
someone correct me if im wrong!!!
ps do you have pics of rear with engine lid and rear hatch door.
or dose it have a factory looking fuel gauge in the dash right side of speedo.

Tell me about it. It's stumped me for a long time. I've had it for five years now. No fuel gauge. Only on off below bench seat. No factory indicator on steering column . Had a after market type screwed to the column. If you can find out more would love to know about it!!

is there a number preceded by the letters DDV stamped in the engine bay?
Rear wheel arch changed in 63,, so flat rear arches with low hinge cargo doors would suggest 62 model.
Australian assembled buses usually have funky info on the birth certificate, my 62's birth cert says it was exported to Fiji, but is an Aussie built bus.

Can't find letters DDV. Where would they be.
