1957 Boronia Brown 11 Window

I have had this in the garage for 18 months with very little happening except for collecting parts. It was purchased off her from Adam in Newcastle.

Basicall from what I can work out it is a December 1957. Mostly complete except for engine, seats and passenger door (and a hole heap of other things I am yet to discover). I have purchased a rebuilt 1600tp from a guy in Byron, I have managed to find the correct front bench seat and also some bay middle and back seats. I have splent plenty at CIP1 most of which is still waiting to go on. I have an irs kit sitting under my office bench that has not moved since the courier dropped it off 6 months ago and have just had a 4" narrowed adjustable beam dropped off.

My intention is to put it back together as it is and after it has been registered start to modify the height and add some extra inclusions such as safari's. I am worried about making too many mods prior to blue slip.

Oh yeah. It is going to stay ratty with a coat of anchor wax being applied to most of it already. You may notice some holes. Yes these are bullet holes. Someone has blown the shit out of it at some stage.

I am badly addicted to this website and if I had spent as many hours working on the bus as I do on here it would be well and truely finished.

Anyway here are some pics from when I brought it.

Bench seat
Semaphores
Small rear window
Ribbed bumpers
Centre brake light

Ratty...

You have a winner ! looks a real solid bus with a good looking patina'd roof.

Great looking bus, good work.

Thanks guys and thanks for identifying the colour. I have just done a search on Boronia Brown and believe this is the colour. I have been wondering what the colour was for ages.

Not to sure about the Wide Load or history. As far as I know the previous owner pulled it from a Farm in Tottenham NSW back in 2008. He had previously found a ute in 2003 then given a lead to this.

A couple of pictures on the farm.

Very cool bus there!

I've got a Boronia Brown register over on the Samba, I think your bus is already in it.
