I got this ute from Jamie last year, plan is to just piece it back together for my brother in Brisbane, using parts I have gathered over the years, weld up all the rust and just throw some paint on it, its next in line after the Cubby Hut is finished

And this is the cabin im going to use, ive known of this for two years, picked it up before xmas, long drive to get it but its perfect for fixing the 65 ute, and make it a low roof ute instead of the muffin top

Why dont you build the 62(?) with the back of the 65, 65's are more common and wouldn't need too much to correct the back end for early sixties.

Here is whats good on this ute, the chassis number is on the 65, there is no back half of the 62 ute so no chassis number, it will end up as a 65 ute, my brother doesn't care what model it is, as long as its low and looks cool, this ute will stay in the family so originality will not cause any problems, should be fun and be a quick build, I will keep collecting parts, gotta finish the Cubby Hut first

So im waiting on parts for the Cubby Hut, so decided to put a cabin on the 65 ute, I ended up using the cabin from the 61 ute because I had already repaired the front A pillars.
Patched up the floor with whatever pieces I had left over
I have had this late front panel for ages, it don't fit that well but im using it

Yeah Morts, I have kept most parts for this type of project, can’t afford to buy them anymore, so I build them out of parts, and now have enough parts to build that 62 Ute as well. I did a small amount of work on the doglegs and b pillars, next I’ll weld up all underneath
The tray is quite good, just a few patches
