Picked this up back in 2017, paid more than I should have but single cabs don’t satisfy the family when someone always has to stay behind.

Velvet green and pearl white with mesh grey interior. Typically rusted along the lower 4 inches, cargo floor, cab floor and a few other surprises.
Will start to post up the progress over the last few years over the coming months.

Man I spent a lot of hours trying to buy this bus back in the day, glad it’s gone to a good home.

Although achievable the more I looked the more I wanted to go shiny

Long side was straight and just the lower section needed work.

Both cab floor sides had been previously patched, the centre was salvageable

Some rust in odd places also. Had some blasting done and paint stripped the bigger panels so prevent any warping
Will keep the updates coming, although once again the body work isn’t done by me personally so I’ll thank Cooper early in the thread for putting in the hard yards on this one also.

You have a couple of great buses Morts, I can’t see myself parting with my SC but a bus is a must for being inclusive that’s for sure.
There’s still some single cabs around Morts, why not add to your collection?!

It was about now I started to doubt the local panel shops knowledge of getting around a VW bus and the in-depth knowledge to sequence each repair so shit still fits as it should. Along with the challenges of using reproduction panels it’s not an easy task.
They obviously know how to do the work and do it well but seemed to rely on me for guidance on how things should be approached. Luckily I’d already found Cooper so it wasn’t long before the bus headed out to him to sort out the remaining work.

I think Rusty might want to know what colour you are painting it! I have a funny feeling you are both having green and white colour schemes
