Now that I can finally post pics ( thanks Rusty and Vanell) here is a tale of woe. Some people will know my mango but last year I went to the kombi club Bus Stop event, was my 50th birthday and buses and camping with a few mates close by on my 50th seemed like the perfect birthday. Was a wet old weekend and my few mates who came up and I decided to break away from the kombi club cruise and go get some brekky. Driving back I was a leading as the others didn’t know the area, nek minnit, kaboom ! An older half rotten tree decided it was time and landed bang on top of the bus. Think the following pics will give you an idea

Long story short. After a year off the road, insurance quotes, some haggling and a good mate helping me out my bus is back on the road, lowered , narrowed and looking pretty good considering. Made the trip to Dubbo for the Bus Stop event almost exactly a year later.

I loved watching you build this the first time around. I remember seeing this when it happened and felt for ya buddy.

But glad to see the turn of events and the Mango back on the road. Stay in the center lane and keep on cruising  8)
Hopefully get to catch up soon

Side story, bit deep but I believe things happen for a reason. I have a big bean bag that I don’t have room in the house for so it lives in the mango. On that day my 8 year old boy, his mate and his mates mum were in the back, I had to hit the brakes pretty hard as I was heading towards oncoming traffic as I navigated the tree landing front to back. No seatbelts for the kids so both boys went flying towards the bulkhead and luckily both hit the bean bag, both pretty shook as had to drag them over the bulkhead to get them out as couldn’t get the cargo doors opened up immediately. My young fella was more worried about the mango than anything else. He loves the buses. Needless to say the bean bag will remain in the bus
