Dynamic Lighting help wanted

Post by Gunther »

G’day DSKers, I remember someone on here that mentioned they’re using the Dynamic Lighting motor bike lights for their early bus.
My bus is running 55-57 tail lights & middle brake light.
If you’re running the dynamic lighting system can you PM or ring/ text me?
Thanks in advance,
Tony.

Custom dynamics is what you want mate. They’re in the US, best solution to taillights/indicators in early busses I’ve seen. Nikko found them originally I think.

Hey Tony, yep I've done a few of these past Nicko's advice as he did it first. Happy to help mate, I'm out at the moment but will give you a call when I'm in front of all the information at some stage.

For those interested, these are the lights to order out of Custom Dynamics in the USA. Make sure you select the right options from the drop down menus for writing and colour

This is the LED flasher relay with pilot that you will need 2 of, one for each side. If you don't have indicator wires in your loom then you need to run wires to the rear door indicators in the single taillights.

Gordon, if you’re listening these might be worth stocking. Seems to be the best solution to a common problem.

Does using that flasher can which also supplies the indicator light on the dash mean you don’t need the blue wires back from the sems? And I’m assuming it also means dash indicator light will flash rather than staying lit up? I had some cheapie 2 pin flashers but that seems like a good upgrade.

Dash light won't flash unless you wire it to flash. You just pick up the indicator wires for both sides from the indicator switch for a trigger for the new flasher relay. Your dash light would need to be rewired to come off the relay if you wanted it to flash. I'm your case as you already have flashing front later bullet lights, you could just replace that flasher relay with the led variant and then hook both front and rear on the LH and Rh side relays.
The new led relays make enough noise that you can hear that the blinkers are on which is great..

That’s the beauty of these, they look OG but they are a proper upgrade
