As most people here know i have recently scored a 66? 11 window for nix. So after trailelering her home and letting her sit for a week, dad and i started to look into what i had bought. So the rust, little in the nose, and dwn the left cargo sill, and in the rear tailgate. Otherwise pretty good. Now these vents. Whats the story? Ive only seen panels with these type of vents. Not a rare thing or something?

Ill keeep you all posted on this suckers progress.

Cheers Will

We have decided not to splash out and get all new brake parts as we are not sure whats going to happen to her at this stage. Probably just get it running and putn her into our barn for a future full restoration.

i have the best way to get locked hubs off. the mans way. put that pissy puller in the bin, put the wheel back on, turn it hard right lock then get a massive sledge hammer and start smashing the back of the rim.. worked for me.. but i was drinking at the time

i'm probably wrong but dont the double vents in the top rear quarter panel mean it's an australian '67?

yes, I think South Africa got them too ... = fewer. Welcome to the Aussie Sixty Seven Konnection. I think they were actually around as late as 68 in Aussie format too.

I am still a bit confused by the vents.

I have attached a picture of the vents on my '67 11 window bus.

Notice that on my bus the left and right upper vents are the same size and there are none below the waist.

Whilst on Empi's bus there are vents below the waist and the ones above are not the same size.

Can anyone explain this better?

"For a bus its age its a very good specimen. Another special bit with this but, its a change over model, with Euro engine vents and Australian vents up top. Nice touch. Another rare bus back on the road."

thats a panel, i thought they ony did the 'megavents' on the panels so yours looks to be rarer than that one above even..goodone, asight from all that, better cooling for ya..good score.
