Hi Folks,

Well it has happened... I finally have my bus. She arrived yesterday via movingcars.com.au (brilliant service) and after a quick visit to Bus n Bug I took her around to B.T. Automotive for a once over twice. Unfortunately Bill is pretty booked up unitl DOTVW - he has a lovely beelte he is getting ready for the day - so we are not sure if we'll be driving her to DOTVW or not.

She is a 1958 11 window I spotted in Just Cars a few weeks back. Sketty was kind enough to drive out and inspect it for me... and put the deposit down. Ironic really when you consider I sold him my 15 window.

I am a little up in the air about long term plans (apart from keeping pretty stock - losing hte indicators and taking her back to dove blue... oh and getting rid of the air scoops) just yet but in the short term I'll be just doing whatever I have to to get her on the road.

It was my first ever drive of a splitty taking her down to Brad's and I am pretty keen to get back behind the wheel. Fun doesn't adequately describe it.

I'll keep this thread updated with progress but here are a few pics Sketty took prior to it being shipped down.

Well done Rawdy, looks like a solid fixerupper, so most of the fun will be deciding what to do to finish it off.
And whats wrong with the scoops? You could make them detatchable and use em to roast your potoatoes at the AGM.

So this was someone daily driver!
How cool is that.
Nice one.
Here is some ear bashing for you.....
"There goes another split to Vicco.
I can't stand those friggin Vicco's coming up here and buying up all our splits and sending them south.
There was a guy from Vicco going around recently buying them all up and sending 20 at a time.
All I can say to you Queenslanders is buy as many as you can before those friggin Vicco's do!
