Here it is!
Been in the garage for a while, been a bit busy lately, now its time to start work, saturday will be goin for it.
Got this bus from VIC a few months ago, started workin on it and then didnt have the time, now its time to start again.
Its fairly original, 1956 11 window, little rust. The main thing to do is replace the drivers side panels due to a (i guess) 1980's panel beating job of welding and bogging an inch of bog over the top...
Seems to have had a hit towards the rear/half side end, however is still fairly straight. Not as bad as you think!
I plan on keeping it fairly original, apart from convert to IRS, Rims, dropped, original engine, etc.
This weekend will be cutting out all rust and panel work to see what i need.
Also have the brown bus (as pictured) as spare parts and panels.
Heres a few pics, but plenty more to come.
Thanks,
Kuch

Today (Sunday)
Made some modified beam holders! To sit the beam on the car stands. Dont want to use the jack points as there wont be much strength left on them with all the panels cut off. Want to get it on stands in a good position to leave the kombi up while we do the panel work.
Pressure washed it off underneath also, found some more suprises, always great isn't it... Bit chunky under there!

Mate, you are right on that one, nearly didnt get any sleep last night, would have chucked an all nighter with the grinder, but dunno how the neighbours would feel about that!

Some more work today, have to work tomorrow so will continue next weekend.
Oxying out all the spot welds, easier than drilling and so on..
Oxying off the inner sill as rusted as well and being replaced (check parts for sale for inner sill details and availability to buy)
As you cut more, you find more, so then you cut more, and have to replace more and more!
Inner sill removed
Panelbeating the floor
New sections - needs more work
Inner sill ready to go on, but will be removing jack points again and a bit more work on the outriggers
