Hay Paul, few quetions, what have you got up the front for lowering the suspension and what size wheels have you got on her. Does it have disc brakes ? Thats the look iam after, she looks shit hot. I have a ball joint front end with disc brakes all round and 16inch rims but its still not lower enough due to the travel of the ball joints. looking for options to get it looking like yours. Cheers Dean

Paul, your Panel looks totally horn!!
I see you've gone the same route I have with the window doors, or did yours come with them instead of Panel doors?
Whatever the case it looks brilliant.
What are the specs - suspension, tranny, rims, etc.?

BTW, I'm probably only about 40 mins down the road from you.
When my Panel is done in a few weeks time I'll have to drop in some time with her.

Wow, so what sort of tranny are you using - Beetle or Type3?
And it's a straight axle kit, right?
How are the discs adapted to the back?
And I'll be heading down as soon as mine is done.

The doors look fine, great way of not cutting holes in a panel...

I agree - the doors do look good and try looking for a correct set of window doors(i.e proper year) for a panel if they didn't come with the car.
I was fortunate.
The pair I scored belonged to my best mate and they set me back the perfect price.......free.
They also just happened to be the right model.
Since then everyone has tried to prize them off me, not that I can blame them.
It's hard enough getting a restorable set for an 11-Window, let alone finding them as an extra item.
I'm lucky enough to have the original panel doors for moving gear or quiet weekends away with the missus and the window doors for the rest of the time e.g. when we have the kids in the back.
I'm getting pop outs in both window doors for extra air but I'd imagine you wouldn't need it with safaris.
The Commodore stud pattern is a great idea too.
Massive range of alloys available and easy to get a spare tyre too, not mention the superior braking.
Will you be staying with a 1600dp or does a 1776, 1835 or 1914 loom on the horizon?

Y'know, that's a remarkable coincidence because my missus hates that expression too. :D
She also hates "It goes like stink!" and I don't even dare use the ol' "Goes like sh#t of a shovel!"
But yeah you can blame me.
