Started on Green this afternoon, some kids had been using the turret for a trampolene. Needed a tap here, tap there and a couple of strokes of the file. 1978 was the last time I picked up a file, hasn't changed any. Doubt I'll file the whole turret, prolly get sick of it and drag the sander out. Might have to continue when it gets under cover in another couple of weeks.

Brilliant work, mate.
I seriously reckon there was a gang of the little bastards who did a national tour about 10 years back jumping on the roofs of anything decent, smashing windscreens, running things into fence posts and stumps and where available running stuff over with heavy equipment.
Should see my next non-Split project....... :(

Took a couple of hours of pushing off the floor with a portapower, it's the finishing that takes the time. The Kombi roof is nice and thick and good to work. There are still some stretched spots that are going to have to be shrunk, that's when the hard work starts. I can't really do much more until it goes in the shed, hopefully in a couple of weeks.
