Well Bob and i have taken a few days off work and staying on the Gold Coast, and what kick ass weather it's been. We've had the safari's open the whole time crusing the coast.

A couple of strange things have happened since we've been here. While doing a couple of laps around Surfers Paradise we bumped into a "Gold Coast Icon".... who else, but Warrick Kappa! He yelled out to us "love ya ride" with a big thumbs up.

Later on while stopped at a set of traffic lights we spotted a couple of old guys in a work ute sitting in the turn lane two lanes over. He also yelled out to us, but this time he asked us if the ute had been bought from Leeton in NSW? We replied with a shocked "yes", and he replies, "i used to work for the guy who owned it". He looked just as excited and stunned as us! The lights turned green and they turned as we had to take off. Such a shame as i would have loved to know more on it's history.

A strange, but eventful day. It's amazing who you bump into!
